  • I visited Wigle for the first time this past Monday afternoon with my sister. We were promptly greeted by the owner Mary Ellen. She was super friendly and began telling us about the family business. We were given some samples of the different whiskey that is distilled here. One of my favorites was the Afterglow Ginger Whiskey. I also tried The Drake - Canadian punch. It was delicious and had a nice spice! We were invited to come back the next evening for a labeling party and complimentary beverages. On Tuesday evening, I returned to Wigle for the labeling party. The tables were set up with rows of blank bottles and stickers to apply. We got to sample the Walkabout Apple Whiskey which had a light cider finish. I also had the Just Peachy and Bloo-berries Bloo-berries cocktails that were both light and refreshing. Popcorn was provided as a snack while we labeled bottles. After about an hour and a half, we wrapped up the process and got a tour around the facility. I enjoyed learning about the different grains used and steps involved in distillation. To wrap up the evening I sampled the Ginever which had lovely botanical notes. This was a wonderful experience! I look forward to returning and meeting more folks.
