rev:text	Until July of 2015, this place would have received a very high review from me as Dr Thad is great. However after receiving a condolence card from South Valley Animal Hospital, about the death of my former cat, As my child had been looking for that cat as well as the cat's brother after being told in a bit of an unbelievable and cruel way that a month before his dad had died, I scraped together the money to fly out and visit the vet to find out what happen and see if they knew where the other cat was. I also had to get a court order as Dr Benson refused to talk to me. When I arrived at the Hospital, Dr Benson hid in the back. She sent Dr Thad out, stating that the owner, my kid's dad, had on the day of his death, given ownership of the cat she had euthanized to someone else. Dr Thad knew me as well as my kid, and he apologized for Dr Benson's behavior and because of the court order Dr Thad gave me the cat's medical records. It took me two years to tell my kid that this cat had died, despite my kid asking every few months if I found the cat. Also, Dr Benson lied to Dr Thad and to me, about the transfer of ownership as my kid's dad was intubated and sedated, and did not visit or even talk to anyone on the day of his death according to his medical records. I have never ever experienced anything as horrible or crazy as the circumstances around a death, and even though it's painful to share, people deserve to know the caliber of care they are entrusting their animals to. Given Dr Benson's bizarre and unprofessional behavior during a time when a child was grieving the death of their father, I would look for another facility where she is not employed.
