This was a strange experience that would result in our NOT returning, bit the specials and tomato sauce are worth the return. plus it's a concept I wish I thought of first!
The negatives include a lengthy wait to be seated, slow service, lack of silverware, long beverage and food wait times, dirty dishes set on nearby tables.
We really loved the Cannoli trio (especially the price) but it's overloaded with heavy Alfredo/cream sauce. The tomato sauce is the shiz so next time I'll skip the trio and just focus on a traditional Cannoli w sauce.
As for the piete bello stuffed caps, the Shepherd's pie was tasty but too salty. We appreciate a heavy hand on the salt but this walked the line of distasteful. The beef tip and blue cheese was good too, except in such a few small bites there was an unpleasantly textured piece of beef.
However, our waitress notified the manager on our excessive wait times (we never mentioned it bc we sat near the mushroom stuffers). The manager apologized.
The menu offers many interesting plates and combination possibilities that I will definitely return. It's more likely we will return when there are out-of-staters so they can experience this unique and very tasty treasure.
