This is a funky, funky bead store. Digging through their collection can almost be like a scavenger hunt sometimes! There are beads on the walls, stacks of trays of beads in the display cases, piles of beads on the displays, beads in stacks of containers on the floor.. it's kind of like a bead explosion! For those who require perfect alignment & organization, this store could make their heads swim a little. It's cool though. Just take a deep breath & let them point you to the goodies you need. You'll find some interesting things. In fact, they tend to have things that I don't see much of at the other shops.
My mother went into this store once in search of some beady presents for me. After I unwrapped them, she proceeded to regale us all w/ the story of her experience - w/ her walking in & being just overwhelmed by all the STUFF & how everywhere & all over it is. She almost didn't know what to do when she walked in there. Such is the nature of this place. To me, it's kinda like a treasure hunt.
Either the owner or her son will be behind the counter. They've always been polite to me when I've gone in. You can walk behind the displays to get to what's on the wall & she'll tell you to go ahead & dig through those bins on the floor if you want. It's definitely an informal atmosphere. It's a small space & the quarters can be cramped in some areas but overall I find it worth my time to play in the beady goodness that is this store.
