  • Not too sure about this location. Took my dog here for a "drop off" 2/3/17 appointment since he was having trouble with his back right leg, his nails needed trimming, and his breath had gotten worse for some reason. I was told by an associate that they did not have any appointments available for the type of doctor visit in which I could stay with my pet. His appointment was at 8am. I arrived with my dog to check him in. The team member whom I dealt with was not that friendly. She did not have the correct description as to why I was bringing my dog here for a visit. This location kept my dog for over 7 hours. Throughout that time I got two calls with no clear explanation as to what was going on with him. I ended up having blood work done on him and some other tests due to some other concerns made by the doctor. I was promised another call around 11:30p. I didn't receive one until 1:10pm. When I arrived to pick up my dog he was no where to be found, nor did an associate go and get him. I was taken to the back office where they went over the "test results" for my dog. They assured me that for his age he was healthy, but had a little swelling in the problem foot, they also said his organs were nice and strong. Throughout discussing this, they still never got my dog. It wasn't until 40 minutes later did they retrieve him. They prescribed him some medicine to help with his leg pain. Fast forward a day later and my dog stops eating, walking, starts to soil himself and won't stand. I took him to the emergency pet hospital where I was told that he was dehydrated, his kidney's were working poorly and his sugar was extremely low. These were all things that were "tested" at Banifield; in which they told me all of my dog's level's were normal. My dog ended up dying. Makes me wonder if any test were even done, and whether or not he was examined at all. Made a big issue about payment and all the supposed "tests' they had ran. Never again!! If you want a place for your pet to take their final breathe, this is the place for that.
