My husband recently purchased a used minivan here. We love the minivan and the sales team was great however a few days into owning the van we heard a funky noise. I brought it back and was told the WHOLE transmission needed replacing. They fairly offered us a completely different comparable car OR a power train warranty. We opted for the warranty because I preferred the van we purchased. A month later when the warranty was active I brought it back for service. Suddenly the Honda inspectors won't replace the transmission until the sound is consistent?? The tech found it, the service manager found it, I hear it, but since the insurance guy didn't I get to wait until my van breaks down or gets much worse off?? Seriously?
Honda worked with me and kept some heat on the insurance people to get my transmission replaced. It took awhile, but they finally pushed enough and the insurance company had to honor our warranty. While I was waiting Honda let me use a beautiful loaner car since mine was out of commission.
Now my minivan runs nice and has no more knocking noises. Honda was very nice in working with us AND the insurance company.
