I agree with everyone on the food quality. Terribly overpriced and subpar at best. The "Midwest famous" Reuben was very small, standard taste and unimpressive, and $9.95 with only a pickle and small cup of coleslaw. Add another $3.25 for crinkle cut fries or another type of potato side. That is considered the "combo"(no drink with that combo though).
The fried pickles were good as was the coleslaw. For the price though I expect a lot more. I was surprised at the amount of business they were doing for that quality at those prices.
The carnival atmosphere and old time deco with kitschy props was almost worth another star until we went out to take a ride on the carousel and one of the rudest people I have ever met was running it. He was practically yelling at the kids "now what are we not supposed to do?" Before they even entered. And then he answered every time (because no one knew what he wanted), "we aren't supposed to run so we can all have fun"! He was seriously barking it at kids who hadn't even had the chance to ride yet. My daughter took a step back behind me and hid. He would make a better surly bartender than someone who greets the kids. Interesting and fun inside atmosphere though and if you just go for the desserts you are likely to enjoy it more.
