| - Despite the food being pretty good, our experience there was terrible. We will never be back.
Despite having reservations, we waited for more than ten minutes with at least 6 empty tables before being seated. Fine.
After finally sitting down, my wife asked for her drink on the rocks. "Can't do that," said the waiter, but he offered to bring a glass of ice cubes with it. Fine.
I asked for a gin-based drink. "Sorry," he said. "Although we have a full liquor license, all we stock is rum." Fine.
My wife ordered the red snapper, but since she doesn't like to have her food looking back at her, she asked that the head get removed.
"It's cooked with the head on," said the waiter.
My wife explained that she knew that, but just wanted it removed before it got to the table.
"Can't do that," said the waiter.
"Why?"
"The chef considers it insulting"
Seriously? Yup.
I can't make this stuff up. You will take it with head attached or don't order it.
Chef makes the rules.
And apparently, what chef wants comes before what the customers want at Breadfruit.
