  • I so very much want this restaurant to be good. Last evening my husband and I gave it another try after a year. We made a reservation for 6:30pm and arrived about 6:20. The hostess advised that our table wasn't ready so we were fine waiting in the bar area over cocktails. The bar service was super, despite being overcrowded. By 6:40pm, we noticed that several couples were being seated immediately upon checking in, and then realized that the hostess had forgotten about. Pretending that she hadn't forgotten, she seated us immediately at the worst table in the restaurant. We actually got to greet patrons before they got to hostess stand from that point forward. Our waitress however was excellent. Knew just when to be at the table...just had the timing down and was extremely pleasant and competent. Unfortunately, we experienced another mediocre meal. The steak is just not steakhouse quality but it certainly has steakhouse pricing. We get better steaks at Food Lion and regretted not having just stayed home and grilled ourselves. This was our 3rd attempt to enjoy Old Stone. Very disappointing.
