| - I would give a minus zero if i could. My A/C went out on July 15th, called my home warranty company, American Home Shield, and they sent a tech from A & R out to my house that day. The coil on my unit was shot, and they had to order one. They came out on July 23rd, 8 days of living in The Suncoast later, and they told me that my home warranty company had denied the claim, and the cost was $1050.00. I paid it, had the new coil installed, and then 2 weeks ago called American Home Shield to cancel my warranty, and when they asked me why I was canceling my plan I told them because they didn't cover my A/C repair.. The customer service rep said 'thats not true, we fully covered it 100%', read me all the notes in my file about the repair. I told her that A & R told me they said it wasn't covered, and that they charged me $1050.00. The rep at AHS said that there was no record that A & R had received payment from me, that they are supposed to document any payments received from AHS customers. A & R called and said they were fully refunding my $1050, and that I would have my check in a week. Here it is 2 weeks later and I still haven't received my refund. I am contacting an attorney tomorrow morning and am going to file a lawsuit against them.
They completely ripped me off, and if I wouldn't have contacted AHS to cancel my warranty I would have never found out what they did. Very dishonest company, and I would advise anyone not to do business with them.
