I didn't go to the stampede this year, as much as I do dislike it I genuinely wanted to join the centennial celebration bandwagon but just couldn't find the time. All I want to say is I loved Light up the city. Or was it light up the sky? Ah whatever! Anyways... I think it is a wicked awesome idea. I loved the fact that standing at Glenmore Reservoir I could see three fireworks across the city going off. I understand that people watching the fireworks from Glenmore Reservoir like I did aren't giving the Stampede money for it, but I'm sure those capitalist who run the stampede are making enough of a profit none-the-less. Seriously, Stampede planners, if you're reading this, I'm sorry for calling you a capitalist, I'm not a hippie, but is there a chance you could do this every year because it was awesome!
