| - I was extremely disappointed with my visit to the Omnia nightclub at Caesars Palace and I'd have to pretty much blame almost all of it on the hothead, power tripping security.
First off, my boyfriend gets kicked out of the venue not even an hour to our arriving there. He was taking a shot with our friend and it unfortunately went down the wrong pipe and he spit it back up onto the floor and a little of the bar. FIVE security guards immediately pounced on him and made a scene saying he vomited behind, on top of and in front of the bar and escorted him out of the club. Apparently after that, they said my boyfriend was becoming angry and started threatening them so they had hotel security escort him off Caesars property. Funny thing was, Metro just shook their heads at them when they took him outside and did nothing but encourage my boyfriend to just go back inside the hotel..so yeah he must have been reaaaaaaally out of control.
Now, since I wasn't with him at the time this all went down I had to investigate by going to various head security guards and figuring out what happened and if there was anyway to not only get him back into the club but also to see where the hell he was in the first place. Initially, my friend took me to the exact spot where everything happened. I tried to talk to the guard at the door where he was escorted out to ask who I can speak with or where to go to find my boyfriend in the first place. I was very polite and kind, not in anyway rude or demanding. He COMPLETELY IGNORED ME. As if I wasn't even there. Seriously?! that's how you treat your clientele?? Later on, I found one of the head security guards,Dominic, who was very sweet, understanding and facilitating. He was the only one in the entire place really willing to help me out. However, when he introduced me to the head guard that was involved in the entire drama that's when my attitude changed. This guy was talking down to me like I was a kid and didn't understand how anything works. When he was describing how my boyfriend's "vomit" was a biohazard he said that I probably didn't know what that meant. To which I replied that I was an operating room nurse with a bachelors degree so I knew what a biohazard was more than his ignorant self. Of course he then tried to backtrack his words and apologize but by then I'd had enough.
As I'm trying to leave the place with family and friends, it's INSANELY packed in the main room to where the walkways that are supposed to be CLEAR are FULL of people. As we're trying to make our way through, we get caught because people are just standing there, a security guard takes his fist and grinds it into my brother's ribs and yells at him to keep moving. NO WARNING, NO NOTHING. That's unbelievable and completely unacceptable. We WERE trying to move. We wanted to get the hell out of that hell hole!
Overall, the security thinks that they are God's gift on earth because Omnia is the place to be on the strip right now. Get over yourselves. You shouldn't be treating people that way - especially paying clients. Just wait until another club opens and you'll be old news.
In addition, drinks are insanely expensive (a beer and a shot was almost $40). Like everyone else is saying is insanely crowded.
The decor and lighting is absolutely amazing but not enough for me to overlook all this drama and maltreatment. Definitely not making a second trip.
