We left the Orleans hotel to grab breakfast here. Just about a 5 minute drive from the hotel. Plenty of parking on a Monday morning. We walked in and seated immediately at a large booth. Restaurant was very large inside. I was fooled frim the outside. The decor is nice. It looks like they may have recently remodeled. TVs hanging everywhere as well.
This spot was like denny's on steroids. The popular dishes are the waffles with chicken tenders in top. I went with the chicken apple compote waffle. For $11, it was definitely a lot of food. The apple compote is house made. Not too sweet. Chicken was okay with it. I felt it could have used a bit more seasoning. The waffle was good. It did get a little soggy but it was expected with the compote. I ordered one biscuit and gravy a la carte, $4. I thought it was good. They take a large biscuit and slightly toast it and slather it with their gravy.
Kids were happy with their pancakes. No complaints there. Plenty of food and drinks to go around at the table. Coffee was regularly served.
They did take a long time to bring us the check. I had to get up and ask for it. We paid $63 for 3 adults and 2 kids. Not a bad deal. I would eat here again. Stop by the dessert counter and check out all those confectionary works of art.
