  • I went to Diamond Nails for a pedicure and acrylic nails for an upcoming birthday celebration. I was charged $80 before tip as my total for the full pedicure ($30) and the full set of acrylic nails ($50). I used to be nuts about nails back during college and got acrylics and fills every few weeks. I remember dropping $40 or so before tip for a full set and a pedicure. The $80 at Diamond Nails is just exorbitant! (Have nail salons really raised their prices dramatically within the past 5-10 years?) The polish on my toes did not last long at all. Two days after getting my nails done, I wore pumps for about 3-4 hours, and when I took them off, the polish had chipped or rubbed off of about half of my toenails. And during the first week after getting the acrylics, about a handful started showing signs of lifting. Sure, my nails looked good, and I left Diamond Nails happy with what I saw on my hands and feet. But I have no idea why the prices were so high. I also don't know why the polish and acrylics were such low quality and showed signs of wear and tear within a few days after visiting Diamond Nails. I won't go back.
