After hearing about Food Express for ages and finding it open after its doors had a "CLOSED" sign outside for what seemed like forever, I finally had a chance to nosh at this little hole in the wall. My high expectations were dashed as soon as I had my first bite of the Szechuan Shrimp... and again with the Ma Po Tofu... and (SIGH) then finally with the Singapore Noodles. We were hoping for spicy food after we asked our server to make everything spicy. What we got was very mild food with a few chilis thrown in for color. Perhaps the most unfortunate thing about this meal was that after I had told our server that I don't eat any meat and confirmed with him that there would be no meat in the dishes we ordered other than the seafood, I found several pieces of chicken in the Singapore Noodles and pork in the Mapo Tofu. Oh well. Thank goodness for Spring Mountain and the loads of other fantastic Chinese restos in this town!
