| - Just moved to the area and brought one of my two dogs here to check it out today. From what I can see so far, the park is beautiful, large and well-kept. The play pools set up by the hose are a perfect cool down idea, and my dog loved them. There were only a couple of other dogs there, as it was around 3pm. One nice lady walking out with a friendly, well-behaved pitbull who was sweet and kind, and a family with kids there who allowed their seemingly innocent small-mid size female dog to nip, bite and follow my extremely docile and sweet 110lb gentle giant who looks exactly like a straight up wolf and is taller than me when he stands. He does not fight back, ever. I've seen him get mounted by other males and he sits there and smiles (proud of my gay dog son!). Point being, the park is nice but cut it out with all the pitbull alarmist rhetoric here. It's not the breed, it's the owner. People are constantly looking at my dog as if they are afraid of him, just as they do with pitbulls. The reason is because people are ignorant and extremely sheltered. These are the types of people who buy dogs from puppy mills/pet stores/ malls in lieu of rescuing, are afraid to walk down an alley alone, wont let their kids play in dirt, and believe that ketchup is actually too spicy. If you have a friendly pitbull or a super huge dog like mine, don't be put off by these other reviews; come and find me - my dog will be your dog's best friend, and I will point and laugh at any snowflakes who try to ruin his/her fun.
