Aloft really is designed for business travel...or it theoretically is. But the location of this one has it on night club row in Old Town, which means it's loud and makes getting a good nights rest for the person a business trip really difficult.
While the hotel staff were nice and helpful with any questions I had, it doesn't quite make up for the surroundings and paper thin walls. As others have mentioned slamming doors, drunk people, the loud AC running 24/7, are for real. I was also a little uneasy about the parking. For some reason I felt the need to check on my car every morning. Although it appears they do have security personnel on the property.
As I mentioned before, this hotel is more for the business traveler or folks who do not plan on spending a lot of time at the hotel. If you're looking for a luxe atmosphere and the quintessential Scottsdale pool scene, you won't find it here.
Grateful for the fitness center and free coffee early in the morning.
