| - The Old Fash as I refer to it, is that reliable friend that you can always count on. Whether it's breakfast, lunch or dinner, I'm never disappointed. My biggest problem when I eat here is I always want to order everything off the menu because I'm starving and it's all oh so good. The cheese curds are a must order and you get your choice of dipping sauces. Where you go from there is up to you, but you'll surely enjoy whichever it is you choose.
This is not only a great meal place, but also somewhere to stop in for drinks or appetizers. I've always had great service here whether it's sitting at a table or at the bar.
It's pretty typical for the Old Fashioned to be busy. It's in a prime location, popular with both locals and visitors to the city. But, if you have to wait it's worth it. As always, my recommendation if you can is to grab a seat at the bar if it's a long wait. But, those spots can be full as well.
If you're going for lunch, during the week they don't serve to the tables and you do need to go up to the bar to order. Just as heads up so you're not waiting at a table. It's quick and efficient. If eating here in the middle of winter and sitting by the front doors, you may need to keep your coat on as it stays pretty chilly with people coming in and out. :)
My only not so favorite thing here are the Tuesday Taco Nights. I'm just more of a fan of the regular menu, but it's a great deal that they offer if you want to go out for cheap tacos.
And, I wouldn't steer you wrong with their Bloody Mary. Fully loaded with a huge piece of beef jerky, cheese curds, a pickle and a pickled egg. As a local, I can say this place lives up to the hype and you won't be disappointed!
