Terrific atmosphere and vibe to this little place -- happened to be in the neighborhood on my way home one Friday afternoon and popped in to check it out. Tried a flight of smoked stout, oatmeal brown and winter wheat: went home with a growler of the oatmeal brown. The winter wheat was kinda forgettable, and the oatmeal brown was terrific, but the smoked stout was really the star of the group -- I just wouldn't want a whole growler of it, and my wife (who liked the brown) wouldn't have taken more than a sip. Some other reviewers seem to view all the brewing experimentation as a drawback, but I think it's a real plus -- I appreciate Hitchhiker's fearless approach to bold flavors and their sense of adventure. There are bound to be a few clunkers in the mix from time to time, but that's part of the fun -- and it's the best way to stumble across something truly great. I hope to be there for a taste when they find it (and the smoked stout came close)!
