After traveling and living in Italy for many years i was desperately seeking some of the flavours i experience there right here in Canada, unfortunately it can't be done. This brings me to Quality Cheese...after hearing many people talk about how good they were i decided to try myself. Never again will i spend that much money on such mass produced, tasteless cheese again. How is it possible that our standard for quality have become so low in Canada, it has become all about mass producing for supermarkets and restaurants while taking advantage of the Italian name. I have tried the Mozzarella (both Cow Milk and Buffalo Milk) no flavour, no salt, DRY! not a drop of milk in my plate. Ricotta was pretty much the same taste wise. We need to stop marketing this stuff as Italian cheese if we can't take the time and add the quality like they do in Italy...it is not fair to the consumer and those producing the product in Italy. Mozzarella gets its taste from quality milk and natural fermentation which doesn't exist here. We think that Mozzarella is that stuff sold in blocks in supermarkets that we put on pizza and when we see the fresh stuff we say its "amazing" when its far from. Quality takes time and passion not mass production and money.
