| - I have to say that Border Grill is one of my favorite places. The service is always on point and the energy is uplifting. Local celeb chef Mike Minor is back in the house (and kitchen) and the food is even more amazing than before! The chefs daily specials are absolutely incredible every time I dine here!
The menu has a variety of crafted cocktails and now more of a craft beer selection, the Burro Caliente being my favorite (has a bit of a kick which I love), and the margaritas are only made from agave and lime so naturally are INCREDIBLE!
The brunch on the weekends are amazing and the selection is insane especially for the price ($39), but my favorite is dinner. They have a small plate option mimicked after their brunch style on the dinner menu now that allowed me to taste everything on the menu. $55$? How do they even make money? A girl can eat! Everything was yummy. Octopus, ceviche, grilled corn, brisket taquitos, skirt steak, shrimp and scallops, enchiladas.... wow.
I have to respect and tip my hat to the ladies ( Mary Sue and Susan ) for their dedication to giving back to the community and the several organizations they are in support of.
Yes, there is a 50 cent charge for water now, but what they are doing is really inspiring. The organization they donate the proceeds (not profit) to, One Drop (I had to google it) assists people in need of clean drinking water. I got the feels and a little education on the matter when I asked our server about it.
All in all, I bring most everyone who comes in town to visit here for either brunch or dinner and it usually ends up being their favorite experience. Keep it up Border Grill! I can't wait to see what's next!
