| - This place is strange. It's great though. The first thing you notice when you walk through the door is the small army of wait staff standing with military precision to the left of the door, hands clasped behind their back, waiting to attend to your every need. The interior was furnished in a plain and forgettable, but clean and pleasant manner. Pretty much every other small, unassuming ethnic restaurant with uninspired décor you have ever been inside. Who cares, though. We are quickly seated and began poring over the menu.
My better half knew exactly what she wanted; I was not very hungry and had a lot of trouble choosing. After much deliberation over the merits of various dishes and sauces and meats, we ordered. I ordered ground pork fried spring rolls, the lady ordered pho. Our food came out so fast I suspected telepathy, or perhaps a long heat lamp bar full of two hour old pre-prepared food. As we dug into our meals these heartless thoughts were abolished. My "appetizer" was huge, five spring rolls and a plate piled high with vegetables of the green, leafy, cruciferous sort. The pho was a generous portion, but not too big. Throughout our meal we never seemed to have a dedicated waiter, we were simply waited upon by whoever was available.
This efficiency based method of serving was strange, but... efficient? Upon requesting our check it appeared at the table in about twenty seconds, no kidding. Based on one visit, I would certainly return again. The prices were fair, the food was excellent, and the service was great. Don't base your verdict on the unassuming look of this joint, go eat there.
