| - After having visited only the shop portion of the cafe throughout my life, my friends and I finally decided to venture into the restaurant part of the Rainforest Cafe.
It is a super fun environment with the simulated thunderstorms, gorillas, and elephants. Also, the starry sky on the ceiling was very pretty. As the others mentioned, the VOLCANOOOOO dessert can be a hazard, but everyone at the restaurant seemed to really enjoy the theatrics of it all. Our server was also very attentive and friendly.
However the prices... oh, we all agreed that the prices made us cry inside. As much as I love my philly cheesesteaks, I'm not paying 16.99 for one! My friends and I decided to split 3 appetizers in order to ave our wallets whilst filling our bellies. It came up to about 11.50 each before tax + individual drinks. For the amount we had the sampler dish (consisting of amazing artichoke dip, cheese poppers, calamari, burritos, tortilla chips), a pepperoni pizza ($17.99...) and onion rings. I enjoyed my meal.
I'll give this place 4-stars because of the service and the atmosphere. I'm taking away 1 because of the pricing.
