  • The best bread & pastries in Cleveland! Where to start? All scones -- pear-walnut-ginger are my faves. They strike a balance between the overly fluffy, cakey and crumbly-dry scones I've had in other places. I heard that yogurt is a secret ingredient? Jennifer Cookies, as someone else mentioned earlier. BREADS, of course. Chewy, crisp (but not hard enough to bruise your palate!) crusts; tender, airy and just-right stretchy, elastic chewiness inside. Best eaten plain to enjoy pure bread integrity. Yum. Bread and water? I could live on it if it's from On the Rise. Plus, a few dog-friendly tables outside. Get there early or you'll miss the best scones, though.
