  • I am very surprised there are so many positive reviews here, makes me doubt frankness of those. I had a terrible experience at Newson's skate and bike exchange. Left my bike for a tune-up which is $50 plus additional cost for parts if needed. When I came to pick up my bike I found that the simplest fixes that are hard to miss (e.g. pedal was clicking and needed to be screwed tighter) AND THAT WERE SPECIFIED ON A SLIP were not there! I had to leave my bike for 1 more day. Next day they called me in the morning (1h after opening) and said it was ready. I came to pick up - many issues were still there, the only one I pointed out was fixed. I complained about bad service and mentioned that i might write a review on Yelp. The mechanic responded that my bike was cheap (and i guess he didn't bother to work hard on it) and that my review won't hurt the business so I may go ahead and do whatever I want. I was shocked and left the shop. Another customer followed me and said he had the same terrible experience and that it was his 4th time coming back for his bike.. I can't speak to the quality of products they sell but the service is definitely 0/5 stars.
