  • This is my third review of this restaurant over a 4 year span. It will probably be my last... that's how bad the Carnegie had slipped! Since last review... 1. Order at the window from... 2. A menu that has been cut to about 50% of the items and... 3. Is very small to read, which... 4. Slows down the line behind you, then... 5. Try to find a seat when it is really busy. Here comes the food, delivered to the table, not by your server, but by whoever is up next. The Reuben... about two thirds the size that it used to be and with poor quality corned beef. The Pastrami sandwich... much fattier and less tender than in the past... and with a revised rye bread that is not good. The fries... a monstrous portion (enough for 4 people), that came to the table COLD! The server tried very hard to please, and was the high point of the experience. After many years of enjoying this restaurant, I'll be looking for another to get my NY Deli fix!
