| - The wine is hit-or-miss for me, but that's entirely subjective. Their cab wasn't as full-bodied as I prefer, but I was surprised by how much I enjoyed their white wine. Even their peach wine was excellent...not nearly as sweet as one would expect. The food at the restaurant is decent, too. The service was good and I enjoyed my meal, but it wasn't exactly the most memorable Italian food ever or anything.
One area where I must recommend a visit to Narcissi, though, is for the tour! The space is nice, and our guide was the owner of the winery. He was very entertaining, honest, and informative. He welcomed questions of all sorts, and had wonderful answers for all. If you go, definitely don't shy away from asking questions (even if you think it's a stupid question). His passion for their product and the process of making wine is obvious, and it really made for a fun experience. We also learned quite a bit about the uniqueness of the wine industry in western PA. So drinking wine and laughing...I can definitely think of worse ways to spend an hour of my time!
