  • For as long as I can remember, MEC was a place I went with my dad to look for camping gear. I have great childhood memories of the climbing walls. While most of my MEC memories come from Ottawa, where I was introduced to the store and later became a member as a teenager, the Toronto store is every bit as good. I generally come here for small things like water bottles or backpacks, but I always have a positive experience. The cashiers are very friendly, and did not have a problem when my sister and I combined our purchase (she does not have a membership) and used my card. I like going to MEC because the store is well stocked, clean, and organized, and the employees are very helpful and friendly.
