Stayed here based on the great reviews from this app and TripAdvisor. I think the reviews made me expect a little too much. The staff here is amazing, however. I dealt with Patricia for the majority of my stay and she seemed to go out of her way for every guest. Everyone else was friendly. I went for a concert that was at the Metropolis, which turned out to be pretty much across the street, so that's a plus for anyone going for this reason. It's close to a lot of good restaurants and not too far from the Eaton Center. It is on top of a sex toy shop but honestly didn't even notice until I walked down the street that way and saw the mannequins - but just a note in case that is a thing that would bother you. The worst thing of this stay was that it's right on St Laurent so it's always loud - traffic and bars will keep you awake, there is also no air conditioning so being there in the hot weather kind of sucks. By shared bathroom they also mean shared between the entire floor, and not a bathroom in between two rooms as I for whatever reason had imagined, but it was always kept very clean. It's easy to take the 747 from the airport and get off at Rene Levesque and St Dominique and walk West a block (it's only $10 and a cab is $40 - very easy to do the same back to airport). There are a lot of stairs as well, and it's a fairly old and creaky building. Overall, I would stay here again.
