  • Real talk. Things I wish I would have known... First off, this was PAINFUL and I felt/heard every cut. The numbing solution was applied after ALL of the cuts were made which stung so bad. It then went numb for about 10min until I could feel everything again. I didn't know what to expect because the artist didn't explain much, so I figured it was normal and I should tough it out. After talking to many friends who had this done, it SHOULD NOT hurt that bad. I went in asking for a natural look and just wanted her to follow my natural brows to help darken them. Two of the artists tried to convince me to re-shape my brows, even after I repeatedly said I didn't want to. I was not interested in a lot of maintenance (ie: plucking, filling in the less dense areas, going through multiple microblading sessions). She did end up doing what I asked, but I had to go back shortly after I left to have my right brow fixed because she didn't start it where I asked her to (where I normally fill them in to). That was nice of her to fix it for me at no additional cost, but I wish she would have told me it would look completely different (darker) than the left brow. (I know they are sisters not twins... BUT they look totally different). The healing process was pretty annoying and gross (dry flaky skin, difficult to keep dry in the shower, keep skin care product off of them). The ointment helped a little when I applied a thin layer, which was also pretty difficult to do. Q-tips left fuzz so I had to use my (clean) finger. But the way they felt was super gross! I also found it difficult to be outside because I couldn't put sunscreen on or near them, and I live in Las Vegas so avoiding the sun is completely impossible. Finally, the end result...Fully healed and WELL cared for. I mean, I followed those damn instructions to a T! The right brow looks OK. The strokes are short and kinda fat. This was the side she fixed so the strokes are all way darker than the left, much more predominant, and actually look like they could use some fading. The left side is AWFUL. The first two strokes are dark and look similar to the right, then there is a huge gapping bald spot where not even my natural hairs want to live now. It's worse than before I got this done, and I have to fill it in every day or you just see the two lonely first-strokes hanging out on their own little island in the middle of my face. The skin where the bald spot appeared is also now a bright red tone. I've never in my life seen this color on my brows, so I truly don't understand how that happened. Anyways, I wish I could get my $200 + 20% tip back. It wasn't worth it. I considered getting the gauntlet filled in, but at this point I'm not spending another dime to be tortured. I just hope they fade away sooner than later. Unfortunately I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. Sorry it was really hard to take photos where you can see the strokes.
