  • I met a friend for lunch at the Independence. We both had 2 glasses of wine, a cup of beef barley soup, and a BLT sandwich...for total of $51.90! That was an expensive lunch. We both had to ask for extra mayonnaise on our sandwiches, as they were so dry. The restaurant was very noisy. We definitely had higher expectations.
