  • That pale ale tho... Sugar Creek Brewing Company is located in the former home of Olde Mecklenburg Brewery, but the beer is so.much.better!!! I love the pale ale so much that I honestly can't bring myself to order anything else when I'm here. I've overheard good things about the saison and the bierre de garde, but that's purely anecdotal because I can't cheat on the pale ale. In addition to serving stellar brews, Sugar Creek also has salads, paninis, and a few appetizers on their menu. I've tried several menu items and have been impressed with the quality of their pub grub. There's a great outside patio featuring cornhole and picnic table. The indoor space is very welcoming with plenty of televisions and friendly bar tenders. If you want great beer in a great space that is less crowded than OMB, Triple C, or NoDa, try Sugar Creek!
