  • I walked into the NEW Ray Glasses space, right next to the old one, and was greeted by Ray as if I were an old friend. We sat, en famille, at lovely old table; and he listened to my spectacle woes with the easy earnestness of a connoisseur. Ray grasped my situation and style, and pronounced what he could see me in: a beautiful vintage Robert La Roche frame that felt natural the moment I tried it on. His suggestion required no deliberation on my part, I did not even bother to scrutinize it, as I normally would, but knew as I slipped it on that IT WAS THE ONE. Ray's passion and mastery were immediately obvious. His taste impeccable. I just needed something to hold me while some other glasses were repaired, but Ray inspired me...the frame he singled out is a work of art from his personal collection of fine vintage designs. I asked about a style which I had coveted for decades, and he produced it. Needless to say: I was committed; and returned the following weekend to order a gold beauty from the thirties. I needed a little hand holding through the process of adapting to a new progressive prescription but he and Diana were perfect. The service is splendid. The contemporary collection of made in USA frames is as exciting as the fine vintage ones. Thank you,
