  • Recently moved to Charlotte from Atlanta. Yesterday was my birthday and Instead of cake and/or ice cream my one request was donuts, donuts and more donuts. I missed the mark yesterday bc apparently donuts in the early afternoon are not an easy thing to acquire unless you want grocery store donuts or dunkin. The heart wants what the heart wants and this heart(stomach) wanted specialty donuts. There's all of 3 places in the Charlotte area that offer gourmet donuts. I was relentless with my search but had to accept defeat, tomorrow would be another day and I would wake up at dawn to achieve my goal! After reading raving reviews about this place, I definitely have to say it's everything I hoped it would be and more. The selection was enough to give you variety but not overwhelm you with choices. The donuts are huge!!! the reviews weren't kidding when they say they are the size of a fist. They are soft and pillowy in texture and just perfection. I don't agree with the comments about there being a odd after taste from the type of oil the donuts are fried in, I didn't taste anything but awesome. I bought a small latte and dozen of these bad boys to take home and annihilate. Birthday donuts acquired! and now I can die happy. Locally made donuts, locally brewed coffee. I will definitely be back and I'll bring my friends when the come up for a visit. Support local its good for you, it's good for your palette and most importantly it's good for your community.
