I was here the other night for the 2nd time and it was a Monday. Much Much more pleasant than going when the bar Commonwealth is open. If you go when the bar is open its a dance club atmosphere you wait at door by the wall near the bar and swat off drunk boy, one in particular that was so drunk he was convinced I was Taylor Swift. It was really really hot in the room where you get the history info the first time in summer. I might only visit the laundry room in cooler months just because of that. The ventilation is awful and the room is small and with 14 ppl in there plus the bartender is can get stuffy. One good thing is no smoking. Might be a bad thing to you but fuck you can smoke everywhere else. Its going to be okay.
The bartenders are super good looking. Beardy tattoed nicely dressed gentlemen. I got my usual champagne cocktail prohibitionist style which was lovely.
Id recommend any drink on the long long list.
And try something unusual for you.
Unless you are willing to spend about 100 bucks stick to a 1 to 2 drink minimum. Enjoy the conversations bouncing off the small wall papered and heavily ornamented walls.
LA art nerds can look for Alec Monopoly on a wall near the bar.
Of course he would end up there.
Im not a fan but it was fun to see his autograph. :)
