| - two words: pickled cauliflower.
i know, i know... it's a steakhouse, and i should talk about how tender and cooked perfectly my bacon wrapped filet mignon was, how the mashed potatoes was amongst the fluffiest and tastiest i've ever had, but i cannot pass this chance to talk about the pickled cauliflower. The pickled plate of vegetables comes as a starter before the meal, and is absolutely delicious.
the venue itself is beautiful. The second time i visited was with a larger group and we had a private room upstairs, somewhat reminiscent of an old english style library, accented with brown leather arm chairs in the corners and shelves of historic looking books. very romantic, actually.
the service was also excellent, from coat check, to the waiter, everybody was full of smiles and very pleasant.
I personally love this place. It's good for a group to enjoy a classy dinner and an even better place to share a romantic evening with the significant other.
oh, and their wine list is fabulous!
