  • I appreciate the efforts of the staff at this kennel. They give hope to countless animals. That being said, better care and treatment of existing conditions should be done. I adopted a dog in May 2016. He was emaciated and had kennel cough. The treatment was easy for those conditions, but he also had a severe case of demodectic mange. I had no idea of his condition (other than being thin). The staff is pretty evasive about telling you what they know about the dogs (maybe for fear they won't be adopted). This demodectic mange is INCREDIBLY difficult to treat. I have had the dog for nearly 2 years, and I'm still treating him for it (yes it has been confirmed by a veterinarian). You cannot imagine the frustration for both my dog and I. I think the shelter needs to better evaluate and inform potential adopters of the true condition of dogs under their care. Well, we're off to the bathtub for another bath & treatment for these pesky mites. Best of luck with the dog you are thinking of adopting from them.
