I visited today and decided to use the voucher I bought for unlimited microdermabrasion treatments for a year in this clinic. I have tried booking several times before this but they are not open on Sundays. Thus, making it almost impossible to book weekends unless you want to get your treatments months apart.
The treatment was poorly executed in my opinion. They used rough facial towels and wiped my face a little more firmly than what was comfortable. The facial cleanser got into my eye and started stinging. I was ready to let those go, but when the microdermabrasion started I really felt like the aesthetician working on my face wasn't as experienced. I've had a lot of microdermabrasion treatments before, as I had a history of acne. It never felt as harsh as this one. She was running the microdermabrasion applicator a handful of times at the skin on the sides of m eyes, which has the most sensitive skin in peoples face. And didn't need the extra attention . Also, she kept running the applicator in downward strokes, on my cheek; forehead ; nose etc. It felt un-natural as aestheticians and my old dermatologist told me it should be done in upward motion to help "lift" the apperance of your skin. And she kept pressing really hard and making really long strokes which was also not how trained proffesionals are supposed to, as its risky and can damage the skin and leads anywhere from mild redness to bleeding. Mine left me with long red lines that looks like microclotted blood under the skin. After treatment left me stinging like crazy. Especially she applied the toner and the mask. And rubbed my face once more with the rough towel dipped in warm water to take all the product off.
I would definitely not come back I hadn't paid for the package already. I will make sure to speak up and ask for them to be more careful next time.
