| - It was a good day out with the family with plenty to see. Lots babies...baby monkeys, baby zeebras, baby cheetah, baby goats, baby alpacas...so adorable! LOTS of birds !!! Monkeys, giraffes, anacondas, cheetahs, panther, zebra, lions, tigers and bears (oh my ). Things I never saw before like a white rhino, white peacock, white alligator and yellow little monkeys that looked like they were dipped in yellow mustard. They even have a petting zoo and I got to pet a baby alpaca!! Its behind the playground so dont miss it !
Some of the exhibits didnt make sense to me though, multiple animals in a smaller setting where say 2 were in a larger one....not all were set up this way but didnt understand it when it did happen. They also had little bodies of water where the ducks were and inside was a little island where I felt the monkeys were trapped on.....sure they had trees to climb but I couldn't help feel sad, they too !!! Not to mention the baby cheetah or leapord that was on display inside one of the buildings AWAY from mom and dad !!! Did not like to see that either!
We went when the weather was mid 60 and all the animals seemed to be very active....I couldn't imagine seeing them in middle of summer though....
Rides and junk food at the vendors, cash only for all !
The aquarium was nothing big, I thought it would be more since they have a separate fee for I think 15 or 19 bucks after 5 pm when the zoo part closes.
