  • After reading the positive reviews and several personal recommendations to give this place a visit, I went and ordered their original bubble waffle and matcha soft serve. The line was short but the wait time was still 20 minutes. The shop is in a food court of a Chinese strip mall so not the most romantic of atmospheres; best to grab it and maybe go for a stroll while eating it. The bubble waffle was very disappointing. As others have mentioned it is a bit crispier than usual, but this may have been done to offset the soft serve ice cream. However, the flavor was bland and lacking in the rich eggy sweet flavor that bubble waffles are supposed to have. On to the matcha soft serve. Again disappointing. The flavor is extremely weak, akin to the quality of green tea ice cream you'd expect to get at the end of all you can eat sushi buffet. The texture is very soft and creamy though, about the same as you'd get from McDonald's soft serve. Overall it doesn't taste bad but extremely disappointing given the hype around this place, and considering the price and the wait time.
