  • Mermaids is my favorite spot to hang out in Las Vegas. Yes, the hot dogs are great, the bathroom is awful, the staff is great, the drinks flow like a river, and generally, the nickel slots are worth your time and money. Be kind and tip the waitresses. You'll get more attention and they are a hoot. I'm flying in early Friday morning, and plan on stopping off at Mermaid's first, and often.
