  • My husband and I are sushi fanatics and have been looking for our new 'spot'. He wanted to take me out for my birthday dinner, so we decided to try something new. HIro got great reviews (thanks as always Yelpers), so we went there. At first we were a bit put off by the strip mall setting, but we walked in to a full restaurant and very friendly staff. Everything from start to finish was fantastic. We ordered the seaweed salad which was labeled on the menu as "best seaweed salad in Arizona"... I'd have to agree. We then proceeded to order the real crab meat california roll, caterpillar, dragon, and crazy roll. All were delicious. And to top it all off, our waitress (who delivered top-notch service) brought an orange carved like Hello Kitty (very well done) for my birthday dessert. Hiro Sushi does a wonderful job and I can safely say we have found our new sushi spot.
