Was entertaining friends visiting from Chicago. You really get spoiled by Chicago nightlife and nothing proves it like traveling out of town to small cities. My friend kept saying "where are all the people? there isn't any foot traffic, no cars....wth". She googled bars downtown phoenix and stumbled upon SideBar. She liked the pictures and the menu so we decided to give it a try. The patrons seemed like chill people and were, for the most part, attractive and trendy. The music was a little jungle drum and bassie....but kept a good vibe. The candle light created a nice lounge ambiance and all the art on the walls made for an eclectic aesthetic overall. I had an elderflower champagne cocktail which turned out similar to a spritzer and it was delightful! The drink cost was reasonable and the bartenders were pretty attentive. We were hoping for a little more energy overall but this place was perfect for sipping a delicious mixed drink and catching up.
