  • Called on the phone and explained that Apple diagnosed the phone and was going to replace the camera for $79 in my iPhone 7 Plus until they found some water damage. The gentleman on the phone assured me that they could fix it even with the water damage for $89. He said if the camera didn't work after the repair they wouldn't charge me. When I took the phone in, some guy first tried to tell me it would be $150 because it is a special camera, then he proceeded to explain (without examining the phone) that it wasn't an issue with the camera even though Apple had run diagnostics and knew exactly what the problem was. Told me Apple just lies to get people to buy new phones. He then said they couldn't warranty anything with water damage in it and despite me explaining that there are 2 separate cameras in the phone he all but called me and Apple liars and insisted he knows everything. What a waste of time!!!! On to the next repair shop...wish me luck! Andy
