| - My mother and I stopped here after a long drive, tired and w/o reservations.
Check in / out was quick and efficient; the young ladies were very nice to work with.
The hallways, public spaces and rooms were pleasantly appointed, clean and neat.
The Breakfast buffet was quite nice and w/ fresh waffles, hard boiled eggs, cold cereals, yogurts and fresh fruit.
In the rooms are a concealed small refrigerator, coffee maker, and microwave - we didn't use these.
Beds were quite comfortable.
In the bathroom area, I was very pleased to see the curved shower curtain rod that gives you a few more inches in the tub, and a built in hair dryer along with the usual shampoo, conditioner, and lotion. Decorative folding of the towels and facial tissues were a nice touch.
That being said, there were problems but only in the details -
First room had a noisy fan in the under-the-window-heat-cool unit that I knew would bother both of us and a quick call to the front desk had us making an easy move down the hall. This room had a new unit - ahhhh, nice and quiet. Later, I saw a number of the older units stacked under a staircase. They are clearly replacing them.
The GFC (?) outlet plug had to be reset to get hair dryer to work the first time. A light bulb burned out while we were there (which they replaced). Small refrigerator in room was unplugged (not working I guessed), The one that snared me was that there were 2 phones in the room. I, of course, tried to use the one that didn't work. As my temper began to rise, I noticed a second phone - the working one. So why hadn't the first one been removed? Details.
During our 2 night stay, I had interactions with 2 young ladies at the front desk, during the day and evenings. Both were QUITE pleasant, VERY helpful, knowledgeable and VERY accommodating. However, both were wearing casual, athletic sweatshirts - not business casual or even Hotel attire. Details.
My recommendations: On this trip, price and location were important. This hotel suited us fine. However, there are times when the details are important. I would recommend this hotel to others, but I'd have to include the part about the details.
