  • It's snowing in DTLV! Winter Wonderland is the outdoor entertainment portion of Zappos pop-up shop at the old Western Hotel. Admission is free. The location is just a block over from the Downtown Container Park with free parking available in the llama lot on 9th & Fremont. I went to check it out during the day, so I will have to go back for the light show at night. We had some time to explore while the place was fairly empty and I noticed a couple of food trucks, a no-ice skating rink, snow hill for sledding, snow play area, pictures with Santa, plenty of seating, and Christmas trees for sale. Free face painting was available when we went on Saturday, but most activities required payment: $7 for a photo with Santa, $5 to play in the snow, and $12 for five turns on the sledding hill. I believe the Zappos pop-up is open 24/7, but I haven't seen specific details or a schedule for Winter Wonderland.
