  • I've been wanting to come to a 1st Thursday at the AGO for a few months now. My boyfriend and I attended the event for the 'North' edition. We didn't really expect a lot going into the event, we kinda just wanted to check it out and see what's going on. Before I went to the event, I tried to scope out as much information as possible - looking at the website, facebook, twitter, and yelp reviews. I didn't get much, aside that there's a bar, some demonstrations and live music. PROS: - lots of bars all around, average drinks - Interesting art demonstrations, though there weren't a lot - Art is always cool to look at - Music was good - Classy - you get a chance to dress up and wear something cute CONS: - Can get a little boring? Not much to do - Poor planning/organization? I can't help but to be a little disappointed in the marketing of the event, leading up to the day there were no reveals as to who would be there, what to expect, what would be going on. Overall, the event left a lot more to be desired. I was expecting some more interactive stuff and art displays, but it seems like they just put on some music, have a few bars and threw a few art displays here and there and called it a night.
