I think this may be one my favorite places in Toronto. This may actually be one of my favorite places period. It's got a great location that's walking distance to the Jay's stadium, has a kickass brewery tour, and great beer. If you're a local or visiting beer enthusiast you should come here and waste an hour of time enjoying beer. Steam Whistle only sells one type of beer but at the brewery you can sample the unfiltered version which I like more due to more complex flavor and thicker mouthfeel.
You should come here and not just visit the brewery but also pencil in the time for a tour, its only $10 and well worth the money. When waiting for a tour they give you a sample of their beer filtered or unfiltered. Then when the tour starts they give you another beer served in their signature bottle from a perfectly chilled fridge. Then they start the tour and somehow I found myself with another large mug of beer. By the end of the tour I found the tour guide hilarious and everyone was a great friend, but then again I did have some beer. Best $10 Canadian I have spent yet.
