Went here for lunch yesterday for the first time since it was "Shannon Alexander's". First of all it was 117° outside and 28° on the inside. It was actually uncomfortably cold in there. Upon arrival there were more employees than customers. I was actually impressed with their "micro brews" on tap. Very good selection! I had a "90 Schillings" and ordered some lunch. I ordered the Special, 3 sliders for $5. I was surprised to find out it didn't come with fries and a Side order of fries was $3.50. As I sat there trying to stay warm waiting for my lunch the bartender actually LEFT the bar for over 10 minutes and I was going to purchase a shot while waiting for my food to try to warm up.
When my food came I saw why the fries were $3.50. They came in a "mini bucket" about the size of a cigarette butt pail. It's definitely more fries than one person could EVER eat. There were actually more than 3 people could eat. It was actually a colossal waste of not only money but food as well. I was so hungry I snarfed down the first slider. It had a distinct taste to it but I ate it anyway. Then I bit into the second one and found why the taste was so distinct. It was actually RAW INSIDE! I don't care where you go anymore, you just CAN'T get a burger even PINK on the inside. So I ripped open the 3rd one and it was RAW too. I pushed the food away after less than 3 minutes. The bartender came and asked me if everything was okay and I told her "these weren't cooked, they're RAW." She actually hands me my bill and says "Great... Thanks..." SHE was basically oblivious to anything that didn't go in her world OR didn't have to do with her hair! I just paid my bill, left a tip for the beer and walked out.
If you're just going to drink? This place would be nice IF you're with a group. But I would NOT recommend eating here.
