| - After living at Veritas for 2 years I have learned a lot about this complex and would like to share my insight! Although there are almost as many cons as there are pros, I was still very happy with my time at Veritas and would recommend it to anyone looking for an apartment on that side of town.
PROS:
-When we first walked into the front office and were interested in leasing from Veritas, Mario was the person who welcomed us and gave us all the information we needed. Mario was so professional, we decided to go with Veritas because in some of the others we looked at, the leasing staff was the opposite. I don't believe he works there anymore, because I never saw him at the end of my lease.
-Michael, one of the managers, was great and any time I called or needed help with anything he was very professional and made sure that all of my needs had been met. I called several times on behalf of bugs (cockroaches and scorpions) all of which were handled in a timely manner.
-The maintenance staff were so awesome! They are on site every day and all the guys are really nice and say hi to you whenever you pass by. Whenever I put a work order in they got it done the day of... don't get me wrong everything worked great in my apartment and only had a few work orders here and there.
-I had one major issue at the end of my lease, and the manager, Tami, was the only person at the leasing office who was professional and understanding. I recommend asking for her anytime you have a major issue. The ladies at the front were so rude and said they would have the manager call me when I asked to speak to one (never called me), and as soon as I emailed Pinnacle, they directed me to Tami who was so helpful and resolved my issue! I put this under PRO because of Tami.
CONS:
-ABSOLUTELY NO CELL SERVICE IN MY APARTMENT. I don't know why this hasn't gotten mentioned in previous reviews, or if it's just my building (#1), but I had the WORST time trying to find service in my place. I always had to stand outside on the porch to even make a phone call (and still I sometimes got no service), and when it was 120 degrees that wasn't my favorite thing to do. I always saw people outside on their phones, I sometimes wondered if for the same reason I was outside on mine.
-The front office staff didn't seem to communicate with each other. Every time I called it was like no one knew what I was talking about and I had to repeat my self several times to each staff member. I am not sure why it was like this, but the office is in need of a better form of communication.
-The changing of management. It used to be a Monogram property, and they were incredible. Any issues with the complex were fixed in a very timely manner and the staff were all so helpful. Ever since the change in management to Pinnacle I noticed many "con" changes, I was in the process of trying to re-lease a different unit and ultimately did not merely because of the new management and the experience I had.
